I have lived in Michigan since 1962, but Minnesota is where I was raised. Once a Minnesotan, always a Minnesotan. Here are a few pages to help you get to know my warm, friendly and caring homeland.Welcome to Hanska, Minnesota
This page shows a landmark building from my hometown of Hanska, Minnesota. In this building, I attended Sunday School, watched my brother play basketball, and had my wedding reception.Hanska is a hamlet of Norwegian ancestry, with about 443 people. Hanska celebrates Norwegian Independance Day on or near May 17 each year, with seven programs and a parade plus more. It is in southeastern Minnesota's farm plains, which was hit in April 1998 by that huge tornado 1-1/4 miles wide and 67 miles long. It missed the farm I was raised on.
New Ulm Journal Online
I graduated from New Ulm High School, near Hanska. The town has German roots. It is a small city but has a quite complete and informative online version of their newspaper.
Mankato State University
This is where I started my higher education. I received my associate degree in elementary education here.Email: troldahl@pilot.msu.edu
